Counselling or Coaching
Specialising in anxiety, anger management, depression, trauma or life’s challenges.
What keeps you awake at night?
Whether you need space to talk, support to work through past experiences, or guidance with current challenges, I’m here to listen and help without judgement. I understand life, and am no stranger to anxiety myself. I talk to Bonnie my Golden Retriever often - and sometimes in our sessions you’ll hear her lightly snoring in the background.
Call me to see if you like the way I would work with you, or you can tell me a bit about yourself.
I don’t charge for a consultation call. You can hear my voice, decide if I could be the right person for you.
With me you are always in control. I never claim to have all the answers, no one does.
But what I can do is help you find yourself.

Find Your Peace
Do you wake up at night, can’t sleep and think about what’s wrong in your life?
I can help you sort out those late-night drama loops and give you some peace.
My approach is a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental place where you can talk about whatever is bothering you.
Many people find that having a confidential place to understand yourself can bring an amazing level of relief. Many of my clients say that just having a sounding board to reflect back what I’ve heard and understood made a huge difference. Don’t wait until things become overwhelming — reaching out for support can give you relief and a new direction.
If you’re struggling with a thinking pattern you can’t quite understand but you know it’s affecting you, I can help you uncover and work through it.
It’s like finding the faulty bulb in a string of Christmas lights — when you locate it and make the change the whole thing lights up. Just like your life will when you find that story in your narrative that works against you.
Call me for a free consultation on 0499 997 581 - to see if you connect with me. You can decide then if you’d like to book with me.
You can also text to make a general enquiry, or request an appointment.
Sessions are $130 for a full hour, no referral required. I also offer flexible text or email check-ins between sessions.
FAQ’s
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. Your sessions are private and only with me. No one needs to know anything about your sessions.
Why should I book a counsellor when I can use AI like Chat GPT or podcasts?
Apps and podcasts are fantastic to get information and find out more about yourself. They give helpful information. I add human interaction, emotional support and life experience. AI will often validate you which is nice but sometimes it helps to challenge a belief as well. I am there emotionally as well.
What issues can you help with?
Everything. I can help you with whatever you have dealt with. I’ve helped people with the deepsst grief, complex trauma and the high levels of anxiety.
What if I’m afraid to say my secrets? Will you judge me?
Honestly, we all have dark thoughts. Thoughts are just that - thoughts. Sometimes it’s a great relief to share that story with someone and find that it’s not that bad after all. I will never judge you. My belief is that we are all just doing the best we can as we go through life.
What to expect
Our sessions are open and conversational with a warm, empathic approach. You are always in control of your experience and can disclose as much or as little as you choose.
I bring a balance of analytical thinking and empathy to my work. Together, we can explore what’s going on, uncover underlying patterns, and find a way forward that feels right. I have a great deal of experience supporting people through anxiety, trauma, and recovery, along with a background in leadership. This helps me understand work issues, greater trauma exposure and blend coaching into my counselling. My approach is interactive, never one sided or boring.
My work experience started in a head trauma unit in a U.S. teaching hospital, where I witnessed firsthand the realities of loss, recovery, and resilience. That experience shaped my understanding what life can do you to when you least expect it and continues to shape the way I work today. I have heard stories of loss, trauma, survival and despair. You can trust that your story is safe with me, that I can handle what you tell me and we can find a way for you to make peace with it. Whatever that looks like to you.
I have worked extensively with anger and learned that it is often not the core issue, but a signal of something deeper — such as grief, feeling unheard, or a lack of control. I don’t offer anger management strategies because I have personally found them to be ineffective. What I do instead is work with you individually to understand what sits beneath the surface and help you work through what the issues are to deal with them.
Outside of my work, I value time with my Golden Retriever, my family, and photography. Creating a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and understood is at the heart of everything I do.
My approach
Change Your Narrative. Change Your Future.
If you have found your way to this page, chances are your mind rarely feels quiet. Maybe you’re exhausted from constantly playing out "worst-case scenarios" in a 2am spiral, or maybe an unexpected life change has left you feeling entirely rattled.
I’m Lisa, and I want you to know that you don't have to deal with it alone.
Therapy shouldn’t feel like sitting in a sterile, clinical waiting room. It should feel like a safe harbour. When we meet online, you are stepping into a calm, zero-judgment space where we work entirely at your pace. You don't have to show up with all the answers, and you definitely don't have to perform. You just have to show up as you are.
Real Support from Real Humans (and One Good Dog)
I practice what I preach when it comes to managing anxiety and finding balance. For me, that means stepping away from the screens, grounding myself in nature, and spending time with my co-therapist, Bonnie.
Bonnie is my resident therapy dog. While our telehealth sessions take place completely online across Australia, she is almost always curled up right by my chair keeping the energy steady. Watching how dogs live entirely in the present moment is a daily reminder of how we can untangle our own overthinking minds. (And if you ever hear a soft, rhythmic snoring in the background of our video calls, don’t worry—that’s just Bonnie doing her finest relaxation work!)
Safe, Professional, and Evidence-Based
While my approach is down-to-earth and deeply human, your care is grounded in high-level professional frameworks. As a registered PACFA counsellor, I draw on therapeutic modalities tailored to what your mind needs most:
Narrative Therapy: Helping you untangle yourself from the old, harmful stories you’ve been telling yourself so you can rewrite a lighter future.
Gestalt & Humanistic Therapy: Bringing awareness back to the present moment so you can stop living in past regrets or future anxieties.
Life Coaching: Giving you practical, active steps to move forward when you feel completely stuck in a rut.
Let’s Do a Quick "Vibe Check"
Anxiety thrives on the unknown, and reaching out to a therapist can feel incredibly daunting. To make things completely low-pressure, I offer a free 15-minute consultation call.
We can have a quick chat, see how my approach feels for you, and decide if we are a good fit to work together—no obligations whatsoever.
